The SOMA Drawing Center consists of three spaces: an exhibition space (located in Museum 1), an archive (located in Museum 2), and an online archive (SOMA homepage). The center operates: an archive of the sketchbooks and portfolios of registered artists; an exhibition space, featuring various exhibitions and competitions; and an online archive, used to share registered artist information and activities.
SOMA Drawing Center Space
In the SOMA Drawing Center Space, group and solo exhibitions are held to help visitors understand the concepts of contemporary drawing from the perspective of traditional drawing concepts. The space also features works submitted by selected artists as part of the center’s annual competitions. The exhibitions and admissions are determined by SOMA. When visiting SOMA, visitors can enjoy the SOMA Drawing Center Space exhibitions without any additional fee
(However, exhibitions held by the SOMA Drawing Center are not open for viewing)
SOMA Drawing Center Archive
The SOMA Drawing Center Archive contains domestic and overseas art books, art magazines, printed pictures, and catalogues. In addition to the portfolio of artists selected through competitions, the archive also contains materials from SOMA exhibitors.
Archive Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 during exhibition periods
